Saturday:
Maple Leafs vs Pens (4PM PST), Pens are riding a 10 game home win streak, while the Leafs won 5 in a row at home and now venture back to the US to play a Pens team that is starting to look like a playoff contender. The Leafs strong play will keep the line down, homers don’t be afraid to load up on Pens.
Canadiens vs Golden Knights (4PM PST), Knights are current favorites to win the Cup at 4 to 1, no superstars on the team, but a very good bunch, you will need to lay a big number but they won’t disappoint at home.
Capitals vs Blackhawks (5:30 PM PST), Blackhawks are currently in a black hole, Caps have scored 3+ goals in each of the their last 5 games and current Hawk’s netminder Crawford is on the shelf, this looks like a classic parlay Capitals and Over.
Sunday:
Leafs vs Red Wings (4 PM PST), Leafs should be licking their wounds from the Pens on Saturday and I think they will rebound instantly, I only like them if they lose to Pens, should be small favorite against a Red Wing team that is strong at home on the line.
NCAA Hoops
Saturday:
Texas vs Oklahoma (9AM PST), Phenom Young of Oklahoma hasn’t been able to shoulder the whole load of late losing 4 of last 5, including @ Texas, the tables turn at home against a Texas team struggling of late. They should cover the number, but money line is way to go.
Alabama vs UK (11AM PST), Wildcats are on the largest losing streak in ages, nothing that some home cooking won’t help slove, Bama actually has a very good team which will keep the line close, Cats win going away.
VCU vs G Washington (1PM PST), Conference games this time of year are always big, the Rams blew out the Colonials at home, now they switch venues with a pick em line, different house same result, VCU to win.
Loyola vs San Fransisco (3PM PST), In full disclosure, I circled this game over a week ago, but the DON’s (great name) are coming off an upset of the #15th ranked Saint Mary’s team on Thursday so that is bad for this line and it might be a let down game…..had they lost that game, they would have been a lukewarm favorite at home against a very bad decent scoring, no defense team, I had this as 5 star game of weekend, I’ll drop it to a 4 star, but still like them a lot.
Texas Tech vs Baylor (4:30PM PST), Before I left to travel West, my hoops guru buddy said get a bet on Tech to win it all, gets me thinking that they should keep rolling as they will be a slight underdog at a good Baylor team, minor upset.
Sunday:
Wichita State vs Cincinnati (1PM PST), Shockers get a lot of press, but they aren’t the team they have been in years past, Cinncy is coming off a tough loss and should rebound quickly, this was the 4 star game of the weekend which is now the 5 star game.
Pitt vs Florida State (3Pm PST), Sorry Gary, Pitt sucks this year, Seminoles like to score, they should cover the 10 or 20 points.
Penn State vs Purdue (5 PM PST), 2 teams going different directions, I still think Purdue will find a way to win, but I love the Nittany Lions to cover the spread.
